As the first U.S. real estate company to join the Climate Group's EV 100 initiative, Veris Residential has a history of prioritizing environmental considerations in everyday business.

Incorporating Energy Efficient Design

In 2021, 25 percent (by number of units) of its wholly-owned multifamily portfolio was LEED® certified and Harborside 1, its 399,600 square feet office property in Jersey City, is expected to achieve LEED® Gold certification.

Sustainable Solutions

Investing in energy-saving technology positively impacts resident experience and asset values over the long term. We're incorporating these technologies in irrigation, lighting, and HVAC for our properties.

Transparent Reporting

Veris Residential believes in transparent reporting of our ESG performance indicators and its importance to investors and stakeholders. Our annual Corporate Social Responsibility report aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Supporting Our Communities

We continue to support a number of local Hudson County organizations including:

  • St. Lucy’s Shelter, which offers emergency housing and food for those in need
  • Hoboken Shelter, which provides meals, shelter, and social services for the homeless
  • WomenRising, an organization that helps women and their families in need of jobs, safety from domestic violence, freedom from homelessness and safe lives for children
  • WE Project, a local food pantry that feeds approximately 200 local families per week
